  • Fan Art/Characters derived from "established worlds"

I Will Not Draw
  • Humans/Humanoid
  • Mecha/Machinery
  • Detailed Backgrounds
  • NSFW or any fetish pieces

Commission Payment

After receiving a quote, payment will be requested through an invoice, using the customer's nominated Paypal-linked email address.
After the invoice has been sent, payment must be sent through within 24 hours unless negotiated. Failure to do so will result in any ‘slot’ or ‘high bid’ to go to the next request or the next highest bidder in the case of an auction, or a refund and termination of commission, which is up to the artist’s discretion.

Payment must be in the designated currency the artist requires. Any other form of currency may be refunded and a correct currency payment may be requested again.

Tips are always welcome before or after a commission has been completed. If sending a tip via PayPal, please also send as "goods and services" on Paypal even if the commission has already been paid for.

Commission Turnaround Period

In commissioning the artist, the commissioner acknowledges that other commitments the artist has may take precedence over commissioned artwork.

This includes but is not limited to real life tasks, outside work, personal art (including gift art and submissions to competitions and events) and other artwork commissioned.

You the commissioner will be given an estimated turnaround at the time of the commission request, and will be informed of any delays.

In the case of World of Griffia commissions and customs, there is an expected guarantee that all artwork will be completed in 20 days or less unless negotiated with the customer.

Work-In-Progress Images

A work in progress (WIP) image will be supplied to the commissioner for approval after the sketch stage and colouring stage of the commission unless explicitly stated in the case of commission types that do not provide WIP images.

It is up to the commissioner to request any changes before approving the WIP images, the artist is under no obligation to make changes once the relevant WIP drawing has been approved by the customer.

Completed Commission

After completion, the original commissioner alone is entitled to an unwatermarked copy of the commission. Distributing this artwork to anyone, including a possible new owner of the commissioned character is FORBIDDEN.
The reason for this is to keep artist credit in tact during character trades.

If you no longer have any use of, or no longer own the character, the original unwatermarked copy of the artwork MUST BE DESTROYED.

Completed commissions are for PERSONAL USE ONLY.

The owner of the commissioned character will retain all rights to their character, however the artist retains full rights over any commissioned artwork.

The artist gains the right to use any commissioned artwork including but not limited to usage in commission examples, the artist’s portfolio and printed forms of these mediums.

The commissioner is free to use the commissioned work in a non commercial way, including printing the work for personal use, saving the work to their devices for use as wallpapers or in an art collection folder, or using the way the artist has depicted the commissioned character for reference or inspiration in future transactions with other artists.*

Under no circumstance is the commissioner allowed to claim that the artwork was their own creation.

*Tracing of the artist’s work is not allowed

Refunds

Once payment for a commission has been made, there are strictly NO REFUNDS given out on request by the buyer.

If the buyer is unhappy with the end result of the commission, communicating in a polite and unaggressive manner to the artist is the best way to resolve any issues. The artist will take the time to listen and work out any issues within reason but please respect the final decision of the artist.

If an extreme condition arises in which the artist is physically or emotionally unable to complete the commission, a full or partial refund will be given depending on the situation.

Chargebacks/Paypal Disputes

If  the artist receives a chargeback or dispute claim from the commissioner using paypal, the commissioner will be blacklisted from further transactions, will lose ALL rights to past and present commissioned art, and will be named and shamed on areas of public interest.

Legal action and dispute claims may also be filed depending on the severity.

Chargebacks and disputes for work that has already been completed is considered fraud and is an illegal practice.

Communication

The artist will endeavour to remain a point of contact throughout the entire transaction.

If the commissioner holds any concerns or problems about the state of the commissioned work, they are to contact the artist directly through the deviantART notes system if the commission request was submitted on deviantART, discord (Torotiel#0289) or through email at torotixy@gmail.com if the commission was requested on any other site (including tumblr, furaffinity etc.).

If the commissioner at any point breaks this contract, the artist reserves the right to bar the commissioner from doing any further business with them.
